6061-T6 Aluminum Disc Blanks

6061-T6 aluminum disc blanks provide precision-cut circular starting stock for lathe turning, CNC machining, and fabrication of round components. Each disc is waterjet or laser cut from certified 6061-T6 plate stock, ensuring the same mechanical properties and alloy consistency as our sheet and plate products. The circular shape eliminates the rough material removal step that wastes time and tooling when machining round parts from square stock, getting you to the finished dimension faster and with less material waste. Lathe work is the primary application for aluminum disc blanks. Hobbyist and professional machinists use them as starting stock for flanges, bushings, adapter plates, pulley blanks, and custom turned components. The disc format mounts directly in a three-jaw or four-jaw chuck without the awkward clamping geometry of rectangular stock, improving concentricity and reducing setup time. For CNC lathes, the consistent diameter ensures reliable automated loading. Disc blanks are also popular for applications that need a finished circular shape without extensive machining. Speaker adapter rings, gauge face blanks, decorative medallions, and coaster blanks can be produced from disc stock with minimal finishing. The 6061-T6 alloy anodizes consistently for color-matched decorative applications and provides enough strength for structural mounting flanges and adapters. All of our 6061-T6 disc blanks are deburred and inspected for dimensional accuracy before shipping. Standard diameters range from 2 inches to 12 inches in thicknesses from 1/8 inch through 1 inch. Tolerances on diameter are plus or minus 0.015 inches for waterjet-cut discs and plus or minus 0.005 inches for laser-cut discs. Custom diameters and thicknesses are available with short lead times.
